Greetings, miniature painters and tabletop enthusiasts! Get ready to ignite your creativity and showcase your mastery of metallic paints and intricate details because April's painting competition is all about The Forge of War!
We want to see your interpretations of the tools, creations, and creators of war. Whether it's a grizzled blacksmith hammering out a legendary blade, a war machine fresh from the assembly line, or a master armourer crafting intricate plates of steel, we want to see the works of the forge brought to life.
Theme: The Forge of War
For this month, we're challenging you to paint miniatures that embody the spirit of creation and conflict. Think:
- Blacksmiths and Artisans: Show us the skill and dedication of those who craft weapons and armour.
- Armour and Weaponry: Highlight the intricate details of finely crafted armour, legendary weapons, or the raw power of forged steel.
- The tools of war: Show us the smaller items that are needed for war, like small motorised bikes or battlesuits.
Can be any model with a focus on Weapons & Armour!
Size Restriction:
To keep things focused and manageable, we're implementing a size restriction for this month's competition. Your miniature must be 59mm model height and below, measured from head to toe, excluding base decorations and tactical rocks. This allows for a great range of models, but keeps the competition fair.
Judging Criteria:
As always, entries will be judged based on:
- Painting Skill: Technique, blending, highlighting, and overall execution.
- Theme Interpretation: How well your miniature embodies the "Forge of War" theme.
- Creativity and Originality: Unique interpretations and imaginative approaches.
- Adherence to Size Restrictions: Models must comply with the 59mm height limit.
How to Enter:
- Paint your miniature according to the "Forge of War" theme and within the size restrictions.
- Take clear, well-lit photographs of your entry from multiple angles. (Online Entries Only)
- Submit your model via the form below by 27th April 2025.
